Newport Beach, Calif. – – Today Diane Dixon announced the endorsement of former California Governor Pete Wilson in her campaign for the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
Governor Pete Wilson served as California’s 36th Governor from 1991 to 1999 and previously served as U.S. Senator and Mayor of San Diego. Today Governor Wilson is still one of California’s most recognizable Republican leaders.
Governor Wilson issued a strong statement in support of Dixon’s ability to win back the 2nd Supervisorial District.
“Local elections are an important piece to the future of California and Orange County is a key battle-ground,” said Governor Wilson. “Republicans failed to hold this important seat because the Party was divided. We can’t make that mistake again. The Republican Party is better served when we are united and move forward together. In Diane Dixon, we have a candidate the Party can count on to win back this seat and we should be united behind her. She has my full support.”
Diane Dixon has built a strong coalition of supporters from across the 2nd Supervisor District since her announcement in May of 2021. For a full endorsement list please visit www.DixonForSupervisor.com.
