Dixon Secures Strong Support from Huntington Beach in Campaign for Supervisor

Huntington Beach, Calif – – Today, Diane Dixon announced the endorsement of former Mayor and current Huntington Beach City Councilmember Erik Peterson, in her campaign for Orange County Supervisor. Additionally, along with Councilmember Peterson’s endorsement, Dixon included an impressive list of four former Huntington Beach Mayors and Councilmembers supporting her campaign as well. The list includes; former Mayor Don MacAllister, former Mayor Lyn Semeta, and former Mayor Dave Sullivan.

The list of support is impressive because the City of Huntington Beach is entirely nested inside the Second Supervisorial District equaling 34% of the district’s voters.

The new endorsements join previously announced supporters from the City of Huntington Beach including; former Councilmember, Orange County Supervisor and State Assemblyman Jim Silva, former Mayor and Councilmember Joe Carchio, and former Councilmember Tito Ortiz.

“I’ve always believed that if you want to know what someone will do – look at their history of what they have done,” said Councilman Erik Peterson. “Diane will be a strong voice for Huntington Beach, she cares about our community deeply but she also has a clear record of fiscal responsibility and government transparency on the City Council. It’s not just talk, Diane has a clear record of taking action. Diane is the clear choice for Huntington Beach. That is why I’m joining so many local Huntington Beach community leaders in supporting her.”

Diane Dixon has built a strong coalition of supporters from across the 2ndSupervisor District since her announcement in May of 2021.
