ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – – Diane Dixon continues to sweep up endorsements across the 2nd Supervisorial District in her campaign as today she announced the endorsement from conservative leader and former Huntington Beach City Councilman Tito Ortiz.
“I proudly endorse Diane Dixon for Supervisor,” said Ortiz. “Diane is the conservative voice we need on the Board of Supervisors fighting for the people of Huntington Beach and I will happily cast my vote for Diane next year.”
Huntington Beach is entirely nested within Orange County’s 2nd Supervisor District.
Dixon has become the presumptive frontrunner in the campaign to take on Katrina Foley to represent the 2nd District on the Orange County Board of Supervisors as endorsements continue to trickle in every day from notable leaders around the district. In addition to Tito Ortiz, Dixon recently announced endorsements from former U.S. Representative Mimi Walters, Assemblywoman Laurie Davies, Supervisor Lisa Bartlett, and the Lincoln Club of Orange County.
Katrina Foley was elected to the Board of Supervisors in a low turnout special election to fill the vacated seat of Supervisor Michelle Steel. The vote was split among multiple candidates which allowed liberal Foley the opportunity to win the election without a majority.
